The Warrior Farmer Project (WFP) is working to build a future for Veterans here in the arid Southwest - providing meaningful training as we help to redirect the BILLIONS of dollars leaving New Mexico every year back into our local economies. That means building and growing the resilient, healthful, and equitable local food system we all deserve while creating the real, living-wage jobs we desperately need.
Whether as a Volunteer or as a Full-Time Trainee, working with the Warrior Farmer Project will help you connect, serve and grow.
Get involved in the regenerative work of laying the groundwork for the New 8 Acre WFP Demonstration Farm. Located at the Los Poblanos Open Space - in the City of Albuquerque's North Valley, plant and harvest from rows of NM Green Chile, help in the shared community greenhouse and see small-scale hoop house cultivation, connect with cooking classes and learn to preserve the harvest while touring and supporting local farms and agriculturally- based businesses.
In 2021 we will roll out dedicated Curriculum. Touching on numerous emerging opportunities in agricultural production.
