Recently the Veterans at Warrior Farmer Project completed the rehab of a 60×60 shade structure where 750 tomato plants will be grown. Preparation has also been completed at the farm to grow 10,000 heirloom New Mexico green chili plants and 2000 organic jalapeño plants. Much of the produce being grown will be sold to El Pinto restaurant directly, as well as to other restaurants and markets.

Also completed recently was the cleaning and maintenance of a 100’ greenhouse located at Rio Valley Greenhouses (RVG). By doing this Kathi Caldwell, the owner of the greenhouses was afforded additional time to work on other time sensitive tasks at her business.

Kathi Caldwell is hosting part of our project, as is Jessie Anzures of the Anzures Foundation. Both are located in the Atrisco area of Albuquerque.
