“Every single art form is involved in film…” –Director Sydney Pollack

Bringing New Mexico’s military veteran creative community together to craft meaningful, entertaining cinema

Inspiration and perspiration

Desert-Fox-logo-smAt Desert Fox Filmworks, we’re looking for vets with the creativity, the energy, and most of all the desire to do what it takes to make films. We don’t require experience. We require passion and sweat. Because making movies is hard work. But if you’re game, you’ll have the opportunity to shadow, and learn from, successful professionals in fields such as…

  • Director & Assistant Director
  • Producer, Unit Production Manager & Production Assistant
  • Director of Photography
  • Sound
  • Grip, Gaffer & Electrical
  • Post-production
  • Acting, and more

Desert Fox also works closely with local, regional, and national talent In script writing, both in the veteran and civilian community. If you have experience with munitions, you may have valuable input in pyrotechnics. And, if you’re just good with your hands, we know a great set builder is hard to find.

If you’re a veteran, you’ll understand.

Like all the organizations of Desert Forge Foundation, Desert Fox Filmworks puts veterans first. Our goal is to provide a “can-do, cover down” approach to learning the craft—and business—of filmmaking, while developing an ongoing relationship with our local civilian and creative professional community. So, if you’re a veteran looking for a tight-knit team, committed to producing a top quality creative product, and dedicated to helping each other so everyone wins, Desert Fox Filmworks just might be for you.
